Aluminium-Coated Steel

Aluminized steel is a steel treated by hot-dip aluminum or aluminum-silicon alloy coating process, designed to enhance its properties, especially corrosion resistance and rust resistance. This kind of steel has the strength, hardness and excellent mechanical properties of the steel, while incorporating the excellent appearance of aluminum and Antioxidant properties. The perfect combination of the two makes aluminized steel a metal material with more capabilities and wider uses.

There are two types of hot-dip aluminized steel. Type 1 is a coating composed of aluminum-silicon alloy, adding 5% to 11% silicon to enhance the adhesion of the coating and form a brittle metal layer, control the growth rate and improve heat resistance and workability, mainly used in industrial equipment and commercial products. Type 2 coating is made of pure aluminum, mainly is used for atmospheric corrosion resistance.
